Recovery Coach is a comprehensive 5 day training that will arm you with the strength-based strategies to support persons in or seeking recovery from Alcohol or Substance Use Disorders . It consists of a 30 hours of topics related to addiction recovery and coaching techniques. This allows for an in-depth exploration of key concepts and skills required to effectively support individuals in their recovery journey.
Recovery Coaching provides an overview of the recovery coaching role, ethics, boundaries, and the importance of peer support in recovery.
Understanding Addiction and Recovery This module delves into the disease model of addiction, the stages of recovery, common substance use disorders, and the impact of addiction on individuals and their families.
Communication and Motivational Interviewing ,This segment focuses on effective communication skills, active listening, building rapport, and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to support clients' motivation for change.
Recovery Support Services ,This session explores the various recovery support services available, including mutual aid groups, treatment options, community resources, and how to connect clients with appropriate services.
Relapse Prevention and Harm Reduction (4 hours): This segment addresses relapse prevention strategies, harm reduction principles, identifying triggers and warning signs, and developing coping skills and relapse prevention plans.
Cultural Competency and Diversity This session focuses on understanding and respecting cultural differences and diversity in recovery coaching, including the importance of cultural competency in providing effective support.
Ethics and Professionalism This module covers ethical considerations in recovery coaching, maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality, and handling ethical dilemmas that may arise in the coaching relationship.
You will obtain3 months of supervision alone with 3 months of learning collaborative . In addition we will guide you through the application and certification process.
