CASAC is a professional certification that indicates an individual's competence and expertise in the field of addiction counseling. CASACs are trained to provide counseling, support, and guidance to individuals struggling with alcoholism and substance use disorders.
The credentialing process involves completing 350 training hours as well as passing a state examination.
CASACs are trained to assess clients' needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide counseling services that support recovery and recurrence. They may work in various settings, including treatment centers, hospitals, correctional facilities, and community organizations.
In their role, CASACs may provide individual counseling, group therapy, and family counseling. CASACs play a crucial role in helping individuals overcome alcoholism and substance use disorders, providing them with the support and guidance needed to achieve and sustain recovery.
Recoveries R US, LLC is an OASAS approved Education and Training Provider offering the CASAC 350 Hour Education and Training Standardized Curriculum. The course work offered within our program ensures that CASAC applicants have adequate exposure to the full range of counselor competencies, knowledge in physical pharmacological effects, diversity in different treatment approaches ( including medication -supported recovery) and professional and ethical responsibilities.
Upon completion of our program students will be issued the OASAS 350 Hour Standardize Certificate of Completion. This certificate along with the OASAS credentialing application, Mandated Reporter and MATS certificate and the $100.00 fee are the only requirements to apply for the CASAC Trainee Status. Upon submission of these items a review will be conducted by OASAS ( Office of Addiction Services And Supports) to determine eligibility for the CASAC Trainee and CASAC Examination.

Classes meet Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
30 Weeks Evening Classes
Classes meet Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
